Shop 'til you drop'

Shoppin in BarcelonaGo shopping in Barcelona! This is all I can say to sum up the faboulous opportunities that Barcelona offers. You will find the best fashion stores, vintage stores, antique fairs, markets and much more!
You cannot miss El Corte Inglés, which is the largest department store chain in Spain. It is located in Plaça Catalunia and is jam packed with everything you could possibly want or need.
La Rambla is by far the most famous place to go shopping in Barcellona. Five kilometres of wonderful shops and boutiques! Here you can find a huge selection of the best shops, including Versace, Armani, Burberry, Bally, Cartier, Chanel and Calvin Klein.
There is an incredible variety of clothes shops, such as Bershka, Zara, Mango, Massimo Dutti, Custo, Calzedonia and many others! Rest assured ladies, you won’t be disappointed! If you are a shoe addict, one shop in particular springs to mind;  La Manual Alpargatera, which is well known for its small but exquisite selection of handmade shoes.
If you’re a bit of a bargain hunter, and love a good flea market, then don't miss the Mercat del Encants. This is a flea market held in Plaça de les Glories every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, from sunrise to sunset. The market is always crowded with tourists, locals, and lots of  street performers come here from La Rambla.

If you are in Barcelona at Christams time, go to Fira de Santa Lucia, a market that first appeared in 1978 and that is steeped in tradition. The market  is usually held in Decemeber, near the Cathedral in the Barri Gotica and is the ideal place to find Christmas decorations with which to adorn your homes.  The market is particularly famous for its variety of different nativity scenes.

Food lovers will love La Boqueria. It is the largest food market in Europe and it includes some of the best cafés in Barcelona. Even if you don't want to buy anything, it is well worth a vist because of its  colours, its smells and its aromas.
Shopping in Barcelona is amazing, try it!
